Twilight Review on Tribeca Film Festival
Five years ago, Stephenie Meyer had a dream. In this dream, a sparkling (seemingly-teenage) boy in a meadow confessed to a teenage girl how attractive she smelled to him. But all was not as it seemed. See, the boy was a stuck-at-age-17 vampire, and the girl was human, with warm, pulsing blood coursing through her veins. So he found her not just Love’s Baby Soft, I-want-to-take-you-to-prom attractive, but really attractive. As in, he was having a hard time not sucking her blood. Furthermore, despite the mutual danger, they were falling in love with each other. Star-crossed lovers? Sigh.
