“A former teen actor with Manitoba Theatre for Young People, Mooney has also branched out into TV (Falcon Beach, upcoming series ZOS: Zone of Separation) and TV movies (Category 7: The End of the World, The Tower). He’ll make it to the big screen next year in Ottawa-shot indie horror pic Summer, which stars Ashley Greene of Twilight mega-fame. The brunette Maxim girl — who played heartthrob Robert Pattinson’s adoptive sister Alice Cullen in the monstrously successful vampire film — takes on the title role of Summer, a woman who encounters a family of serial killers, one of them being Mooney’s charming Tom.
“There was none of the diva-ness that you might expect,” Mooney says of his famous co-star, who even dropped his name in a Vanity Fair interview when asked about her upcoming projects.
